Footsteps do not work properly

My steps are not reassembled or inconsistent. What to do?

Sometimes the automatic step-up may not work properly

1. 1. The data reported show a gap of 15-20% with your "dung" application
This gap is possible and normal. It may be due to operating differences between the 2 applications.
Alvarum Go reports the data from the podometer "natively" integrated into your phone, while many health applications use an "accelerator", and then convert the data obtained into a number of steps. This often generates higher values.

2. The data are completely inconsistent.
Here are the main reasons why:
  1. You have forgotten your phoneor your phone was turned off during your activity. As the case, your phone could not trace your activity data. We recommend that you correct the data manually in the app, in the My Stats tab, using the small pencil on the side of your performance history.
  2. The connection with your podometer is incorrectly configured: this may occur if you have not allowed the app to run in the background when you first log in. In this case, it is possible (for questions of optimizing your phone's battery) that data has not been reported properly. We then recommend that you reset the connection between your phone podometer and Alvarum GO (see procedure below)
  3. The podometer of your phone is clever: we recommend that you turn off automatic data lifts and use only manual input.
3. No data is reported by the podometer

Several reasons are possible:
  1. Your phone is not compatible, read this article > in this case, opt for the manual entry of your activities, and the explained in this article.
  2. The podometer is poorly connected to the app. We recommend that you disable and reactivate the connection to the podometer (cf. procedure below). If despite this, automatic step lifts still do not work, we recommend that you opt for manual input of your activities.

Can I correct inconsistent data?

If you find that your step data is inconsistent, you can correct them by modifying them directly in the application interface. Manually entered data will then replace the automatically reported data (more information on this link).

More information about the manual input process in this article.

How do I disable/reactivate the connection to your podometer?

  1. How do I disable the connection to your podometer?
Go to your user account (top right), and check the podometer bar.
Be careful, by connecting the podometer, the data previously collected in the day will be lost.

  1. How do I reactivate the connection to the podometer?
To reactivate the connection to the podometer, click the podometer bar.
windows will appear to ask you to allow the app to connect with your phone podometer and run the app in the background.

For a proper functioning of the podometer, you must accept both windows.
